The history of grinding!

Grinding is one of the oldest known processing operations of mankind. During the Stone Age preliminary hewed stones were ground into arms and tools. They used stone dust as abrasive, which was rubbed onto the workpiece with the help of wood or leather skins.

Today there are a multitude of abrasives that make the manufacture of surfaces as well as selected geometries of the most varied workpieces possible. 

Since the foundation of the company in 1893 KLINGSPOR has formed the history of modern grinding through a diversity of innovations. The high-speed cutting-off wheels and grinding discs, abrasive mop wheels and abrasive mop discs are only a few of the abrasives developed at KLINGSPOR.
