Ideal for wet grinding – the Klingspor wide belt CS 321 X

Exceptionally aggressive, the Klingspor wide belt CS 321 X is perfect for wet grinding and delivers extraordinary abrasive performance. It excels especially at wet grinding on

  • glass,
  • ceramic and
  • plastic.

Better yet, this wide belt on stainless steel surfaces can achieve a brilliant glossy finish on stainless steel surfaces. It is available with both coarse and medium to fine grit sizes as well as in a wide variety of dimensions.

The Klingspor CS 321 X – aggressive thanks to closely coated silicon carbide

The Klingspor abrasive belt CS 321 X for mineral-based materials, plastic and stainless steel is equipped with a tear-resistant cotton backing. These properties also make it an excellent choice for grinding jobs that subject the belts to greater amounts of strain. An excellent grinding result is guaranteed by the silicon carbide grain. Exceedingly hard and sharp-edged, it proves to be particularly aggressive during wet grinding. The abrasive grain of the CS 321 X by Klingspor has been applied with a close coating on a tear-resistant cotton backing. Covering almost the entire surface, this coating furnishes the abrasive belt with a long service life. What is more, the close coating allows for a high stock removal rate, cutting down the time required to process the workpieces.

The top size coat made of synthetic resin – standard at Klingspor

The top size coat Klingspor applies to their abrasive belts is always composed of synthetic resin as this material anchors the abrasive grain firmly on the backing and gives it extra support against the lateral forces that act on it. It also possesses greater adhesive force and strength compared to natural bonding agents such as glues. Synthetic resin, therefore, helps improve grit adhesion, a factor of essential importance to the service life of the abrasive belt. Moreover, Klingspor always matches the thickness of the top binding with the abrasive. Its application is monitored by laser measurements and verified constantly by means of weight measurements. This approach guarantees compliance with the specifications in the recipe.
