International Hardware Fair 2022 in Cologne: Klingspor cancels participation

Nov 16, 2021

Planning security for customers and partners

Klingspor had already decided in 2020 to cancel its participation in the leading international trade fair for the hardware and tool industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Protecting customers and employees from possible infection had absolute priority.

Against the background of the current developments in incidences and the forecasts for the course of the pandemic, it has now been decided again not to participate.

"In order to enable the organizer as well as our customers, partners, suppliers and service providers to plan reliably and to reduce the risk of the virus spreading further, we have decided to cancel our participation in the trade fair", explains Dirk Köpsel , Managing Director Sales and Marketing.

The company did not make the decision to cancel participation at the trade fair easy. “Every two years, the hardware fair is the largest and most important trade fair appearance worldwide for Klingspor and an important component in our marketing mix. Since reliability is particularly important for Klingspor as a strong partner, we had to make a binding decision at an early stage”, Köpsel continues.

Hardware fair remains an important indicator

For the company, the hardware fair retains its high priority in terms of industry development and industry news. Dirk Köpsel emphasizes: “Of course we will follow the hardware fair 2022 closely, as it is always important for us to inform about developments in the industry. However, we made good use of the time of the pandemic to further expand our own digital channels and offers so that our customers can obtain comprehensive information and contact us at any time, regardless of the trade fair!
